Versatile Use

Our Series A shock absorbers allow for adjustment between uses to uniformly stop loads from 10lbs to 50,000lbs. The simplicity of adjusting these units make them particularly useful. Simply rotate the dial for the estimated load for the day and start using them. They are recommended wherever the load and velocity are subject to change or when you can only make an estimate of the total energy because load, velocity, or propelling force are difficult to measure such as in a production run.

Custom Mounting Styles

All of our Series A shock absorbers are offered in four mounting styles; Rod End Flange, Blind End Flange, Clevis, and Side Lug, making it easy for you to mount no matter your application. If your area requires some custom fitting of the mounting, let us know, and we will be happy to customize your shock absorber.

Spring Return vs Air Return

The piston rod can be returned to the ready position in two different ways. The spring return is the standard model and is recommended when velocities are high. These units are completely self contained. The air return style is used to delay the return of the piston rod to the start position.  This style requires the use of an external air/oil tank, an air line, and a 3-way air valve.
